Greg has been practicing law for nearly 30 years in both the domestic and international setting.
During his career, Greg has practiced law in Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, as well as the United States. From 2008 until 2012, he managed the Hanoi, Vietnam office of a major international law firm where he oversaw intellectual property and other matters for the firm’s clients in Vietnam and other Asian countries.
Greg’s practice is focused primarily in the areas of trademark and copyright law. In addition to providing general advice and counseling on trademark and copyright matters, Greg assists clients with the filing and prosecution of their applications, maintenance and renewals of their registrations, as well as pre-application clearance and related advice. He also assists clients in connection with contentious matters, including trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings and trademark and copyright litigation. In addition, Greg assists clients with transactional matters such as trademark and copyright licenses and assignment, as well as intellectual property due diligence in the merger and acquisition setting.
Greg was previously a member of the TRIPs Subcommittee of the INTA’s Treaty Analysis Committee from 1998-1999. He authored the Vietnam chapter of Trademark Counterfeiting in Asia and the Pacific Rim, which was published by the INTA in March 2001.
Greg received his law degree with distinction from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. He has been admitted to the California and Nevada state bars and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for Nevada, the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern and Eastern Districts of California, as well as the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Greg speaks Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese as well as his native English.
