Tim O’Keeffe
Mr. Tim O’Keeffe joined Bayramoglu Law in 2024. Prior to his legal career, Mr. O’Keeffe’s professional background in art history enabled him to work for some of the leading museums in the country, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC, and the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. While working at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, he found that he could apply his love for art and visual culture, and his strong analytical and interpersonal skills, to a career in the law. In law school, his focus naturally honed to intellectual property.
Mr. O’Keeffe’s background enables him to look at intellectual property matters from a unique perspective, to effectively understand the complexities of image and brand creation and preservation, the importance of design and innovation, and the benefits and drawbacks of our image-saturated world. Mr. O’Keeffe’s interests include international copyright and trademark law, moral rights of artists, and the effects of trailblazing software and technology on the law.
Community Experience
Mr. O’Keeffe has enjoyed working at The Salvation Army in St. Petersburg, Florida, teaching children in foster care academic, interpersonal, and life skills. An avid reader and writer, Mr. O’Keeffe has written film criticism for the FSView & Florida Flambeau and the Washington Film Institute. In law school, Mr. O’Keeffe was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and a Lead Articles Editor of the Washington & Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice.
Education
Mr. O’Keeffe graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts in the History and Criticism of Art in 2010, and a Master of Arts in the History and Criticism of Art in 2012.
He received his J.D. from Washington & Lee School of Law in 2020.
